  1. Hi Jared,
I am reading your wonderful book, “An Olive Grove at the Edge of the World”. I am thoroughly enjoying reading about CJ, your farm, your friends, your animals and olive orchards. I’m looking forward to trying some of the recipes in the book! I would love to purchase your olive oil. I live near San Francisco, CA. Do you sell your oil internationally or is there a local seller?
Thank you for all the hours of reading about your life in New Zealand!
    Warmly,
    Ella Painter

  2. Thanks Ella! I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the book. I’m afraid our oil isn’t available internationally. Locally it’s currently blended with oil from Ruakokopatuna Olive Oil and sold under their brand. All the best!
    Jared

  3. Loved your book, and wish your Olive Oil was available around here. Funny enough, my daughter and I just drove the scary Rimutake Hwy 2 about ten days ago heading from Wellington to Aukland to catch a plane out of the country just ahead of the borders closing. We stopped at C’est Cheese for a toastie on the way! Seems we were quite close to your place.
I was feeling a little down after having to cut our trip short, so looked on Amazon for some books about new Zealand, and there you were. What a wonderful, beautiful country with the friendliest people. We hope to come back when the global dust has settled. Hope you and CJ are safe, and the pig and chickens too.
All the best, Pat Rose (SF Bay area)

  4. Hi Jared
I’m up to chapter 46 in your book. I’m absolutely loving it. Such self depracating honesty, laced with delicious humor, makes for many laughs & wonderful imagery. I live in Napier NZ. Not far away at all. I’m really looking forward to visiting Martinborough over the summer. I hope I’ll find your oil & by the way when our son was in Scouts many many happy, often very wet, weekends the boys camped at Ruacocapetuna

  5. Hi Jared, I just finished reading your book “The Olive Grove at the end of the world” I loved it, your sense of humour made me laugh so much. I borrowed your audio book from Wellington Library. I have also read ” The Last Beekeeper book” and enjoyed that too. The two books are so different.
